There are countless internet programs and marketing programs promoted on the Web all the time. I just ran a fast Google search for “affiliate programs” and received 25,600,000 hits. Upon searching for “affiliate marketing systems,” Google displayed a smaller – but still mind-boggling – 13,700,000 hits.

I consider myself a smart person, but there’s no way that I – or I suggest anyone – can review that many possibilities and find a superior affiliate program that has an automated marketing system.

You definitely know that my ambition to work remotely was originally inspired by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software system. I have been working remotely for over seven years since I first found Quickbooks online an ‘on demand’ small business accounting software service and was struck by the fact that if you can perform accounting on the net then why shouldn’t it be feasible to do other important types of work at a distance?

Whilst working remotely has many benefits there are numerous mistakes that people make which turn into issues that cause cuts in work output and reduced morale. The most cited reason for low work output from remote workers is interruption and it is a proven and well known fact that it can take a worker up to 20 mins to establish their original productivity level after experiencing a distraction.

Deeper insights reveal that individuals who are consistently subjected to disruptions are more likely to be susceptible to decreased memory ability and are prone to developing mental health problems in old age. We exist in an over communicated society and it is essential that you are acquainted with the issues this causes before you commence working remotely. When working remotely you must do everything possible to mitigate the jeopardy of being interrupted.

Here’s how I do it:

1, Get a routine, make sure that everybody knows it and obsessively maintain it!

Good examples are a specific time of day when you review or compose and reply to mail and make or take phone conversatiions. Before I began working remotely I used to get in the region of 200 e-mails in 24 hours. Now I think I am unfortunate if I get more than four. To ’reset’ my electronic mail experience I modified my e-mail address and tenaciously took precautions to look after the details being made available to anyone. I then ‘trained’ every individual who I gave my e-mail address to, to use it prudently. I also created an automatic reply that swiftly told anyone sending me mail my schedule for reading mail and if an e-mail must have my immediate attention to mark it as ‘Urgent’.

2. Get rid of alerts.

Turn off absolutely everything that can send you a visual or audible alert. This includes mobile and
ordinary telephones and forms of alerts from electronic mail such as display events, audible warnings, display changes to your inbox list and of course facing a window. Get a door on your office and put up a ‘do not disturb’ sign on it.

Obviously not everyone can work remotely as many types of employment require people to be at their office or travel to undertake their work face to face. But for those of us who are able to work remotely then I thought it would be useful to share what I have learned and offer some practical directions by distributing it on the Internet in the hope that I could give others useful shortcuts for adapting to remote working or supervising remote workers.

I should warn you that there are many self proclaimed ‘gurus’ on the net who will try and sell you information for large sums of cash, take my word for it you don’t have to do this.

Don’t get the wrong idea I am still refining the art of remote working as all of the time I encounter individuals on the web who show me new ways and I am always finding new software and approaches that make my life simpler and make me more efficient.

In the past seven years I have slowly but surely adapted my working processes to allow me to do most of my work remotely with a selection of internet tools and robust self discipline. One early morning whilst browsing the web I unearthed Quickbooks online and this brought to my attention what just might be possible. The encounter with ’cloud’ based ‘on demand’ small business accounting software was a pivotal moment for me and the launch pad of my ‘remote working career.

I have to tell you up front that successfully working remotely is as much about the tools as it is about self management. Working remotely also means imparting to your colleagues, managers and clients as to what they can expect and how they will stay in touch with you.

The order of the list of results displayed by a search engine are conducive with the authority and volume of the back links to each page.

Back links are the sledge hammers of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).

Back links have two major functions – routing traffic to your web pages and helping the search engines determine the ranking of your web pages in the results returned by a user search. Users finding web pages with back links to your web page will click on your back links and visit your site if the keyword text in your back link is relevant to what they are searching for. This text in the back link is known as ‘anchor text’ and this too is taken into consideration by the search engines. Whilst all back links are of value some are more valuable than others.

The authority on the page from which a back links originates can influence the potency of the link to your web page.Web pages with more authority pass more authority onto your pages .
